Daniel Milliner

Daniel Milliner, ceramic artisan and creator of singular, poetic objects.

He brings his exotic, baroque universe to life on flamboyantly coloured earthenware, like a modern Garden of Eden, populated by exuberant plants and fanciful animals.

After a professional career as a chef in prestigious establishments in France and abroad, he retrained and reconnected with his earliest artistic aspirations.

Passionate about ceramics, which he had practised as an amateur for over 20 years, he set up his studio in Montmartre and devoted himself entirely to his passion.

Self-taught, Daniel creates utilitarian and decorative objects, each a unique piece or made in very small series. With an ethnic and botanical inspiration, these singularly original pieces are often inspired by his travels.

Following a craft process, he works earthenware by slab-building, hand-modelling and on the wheel. Each piece is made entirely by hand, without moulding. He also brings together his passion for drawing and his work with clay, whether beforehand or directly on the pieces themselves. He creates engraved and stamped motifs on the clay that go on to bloom across vases and candle holders...

Since launching his brand DM CREATIONS PARIS, he has produced original pieces for boutiques in Paris and Switzerland. He collaborates with major Parisian houses such as Chanel, Dior and Diptyque. He also works with interior designers on projects in France and abroad.

While also giving classes, Daniel exhibits his latest creations in his studio/boutique.
